Dark Horse Stages is conveniently situated less than 10 minutes from Wilmington International Airport, which serves both commercial and private aviation. Stage 1 is 25,500 square feet with 29’ grid height and Stage 2 is 17,000 square feet with grid height of 22 feet.
Starting December 1, 2024, Stages 3 & 4 will become available, each featuring 20,375 square feet and a generous grid height of 45 feet. These new, purpose-built stages are constructed with tilt-up concrete and 12-inch thick walls and roof. These stages are also equipped with cutting-edge amenities, including 80 tons of “silent air” HVAC systems, 2300 amps of power, and a robust 500,000-pound suspended live load capacity per stage. Stages 3 & 4 also feature 20’x20′ state-of-the-art elephant doors, ensuring smooth and efficient load-ins.
All stages provide a spacious environment for productions of any size, with more than 500 parking spaces on the main campus. Dedicated stage managers deliver an exceptional filmmaking experience with on-site amenities designed to simplify the production process. Dark Horse’s stages are surrounded by office space, workshops, flexible warehouses, and storage, giving filmmakers the resources they need to bring their productions to life.

Production Offices
Dark Horse Stages’ main campus offers 13,600 square feet of furnished office space with available 24/7 access and provides production teams with the room to bring their visions to life. With the availability of private offices and large common rooms, Dark Horse’s offices offer the potential for both privacy and collaboration.
Just ten minutes away from the main campus at Dark Horse Stages there is an additional 7,300 square feet of office and 3,700 square feet of flex space. This campus, known as Dark Horse Stages Annex, is located at 3208 Pennington Drive, Wilmington NC 28405.
Security
Dark Horse Stages is securely gated with a manned guard house and keyless entry available to clients for 24/7 access as well as CCTV security surveillance.
